Supporting speech and language needs across all settings
Well-known for providing reliable, highly respected speech and language therapists, our service is committed to delivering a comprehensive, tailored package to meet the specific needs of each educational setting.
We begin by meeting with the school team to identify key priorities and agree on a service plan. Once a therapist is assigned, we work closely with the school to develop a detailed termly and yearly plan covering assessment, therapy, and staff or parent training needs.
Therapists carry out thorough assessments and screenings to produce detailed reports and create evidence-based intervention plans, which can be delivered by either school staff or the therapist. Using a Plan-Do-Review approach, we regularly monitor effectiveness and measure success against outcomes agreed by the therapist, school, and parents. In addition, therapists offer staff and parent workshops, coffee mornings, training sessions, and modelling opportunities to build confidence and skills within the school community.
All therapists receive regular supervision with experienced colleagues, in line with HCPC and RCSLT guidelines, and engage in ongoing professional development. They also benefit from access to Learning Talking’s extensive library of assessment and therapy resources.

Learning Talking is established in nurseries, primary and secondary schools, sixth form colleges and alternative provisions. Set up by Christine Rose in 2012 in Waltham Forest/NE London, Learning Talking soon became well known and expanded across London and Essex.
